Zoom goes Retro with fast-growing gym chain
Zoom Media & Marketing in the U.S. continues to develop its already far-reaching presence in gyms, most recently through a deal with Retro Fitness which adds more than 50 locations to its network – and could increase the number by several hundred over the coming years.
Through its ClubCom division, Zoom is putting screens and non-digital billboards in Retro Fitness’s 54 gyms. The Retro chain spans nine states, although 33 of its sites are in and around New York.
The network is expected to follow Retro’s 1980s theme, which extends from colour schemes to music and entertainment.
“Retro’s mission is all about helping members achieve their goals by making fitness a more positive experience with high-energy clubs and extraordinary customer service,” said Zoom’s president Dennis Roche.
Retro plans to open 300 more sites over the next three years and Zoom, as exclusive advertising provider to the gym chain, will likely roll out the network to these new locations as they open.
