Provision signs up sales house for hologram network
Digital out-of-home specialist Adcentricity has signed a five-year contract to sell advertising on Provision Interactive Technologies’ 3D digital-signage network.
Adcentricity says it already acts as sales house for 100,000 screens in a range of digital out-of-home venue types across the U.S. and Canada.
The new Provision network is based on the company’s glasses-free HoloVision technology – used to create the illusion of the soft-drink can hovering in front of Ronald McDonald in our picture.
Among the first sites for Provision’s rollout are likely to be gas stations in New York state, where an agreement with the Long Island Gasoline Retailers Association gives the company access to a potential 800 locations.
And a number of small Hispanic grocery-retail chains in southern California, with 47 stores in total, are set to install Provision’s 3DEO Rewards Center units, with touchscreens and built-in printers for producing coupons and reward vouchers, as well as holographic capabilities.
Provision’s parent company, Provision Holding, made its debut on the U.S. stock market in March.
