IN DEPTH: Latest aggregator promises 0.5m screens

Another advertising aggregator is entering the digital out-of-home sector with the launch of Entourage by Digital Advertising Technologies in the U.S.

The San Francisco firm says its planning and buying portal will “soon” give advertisers access to more than half a million screens, with demographic and psychographic data available for each individual display.

Digital Advertising Technologies says it has already signed up more than 20 networks, perhaps the best-known of which are SportsMedia, with TVs and giant screens in stadia and arenas; TargetCast, which operates screens (pictured) in casual-dining outlets such as Applebee’s, Chili’s and TGI Friday; and Healium in medical waiting rooms.

Also on the Entourage roster are Healium’s counterpart Waiting Room Promotions; 4GMetro, which has screens in commuter trains; and InstrideAds, which provides kiosks and “e-concierges”.

Although Entourage is coming into a market where there are already established aggregators such as Adcentricity and SeeSaw Networks as well as other new entrants like Neo Advertising’s BookingDooh, the firm hopes that the time-consuming work it is putting into analysing the potential of each screen will pay off in attracting advertisers who want to reach precise consumer groups.

“We are currently profiling every screen in each network so that advertisers will be able to hyper-target,” marketing director Nikos Acuna told SCREENS.tv.

“We will soon have over 500,000 screens searchable on the portal,” he added.

Acuna’s company plans that Entourage will represent digital out-of-home media across the U.S., including IPTV, mobile platforms and giant outdoor screens as well as indoor digital signage.

Entourage is a fraud

I read on another DOOH site, that the CEO of Entourage use to work at nMotion technologies and that he actually stole several ideas from their product AdSemble (www.adsemble.com), in order to form the foundation of this company.
