PRN keeps Costco contract for ad sales, content
Premier Retail Networks in the U.S. has renewed its contract to sell advertising and supply content for the in-store TV network at Costco, the nation’s third largest retailer.
The agreement, described only as “multi-year”, continues the relationship that has existed between PRN and Costco since the retailer launched its digital out-of-home network in 2004.
PRN will handle network management and scheduling as well as selling ads and providing content, which includes custom programming such as advice on consumer electronics along with entertainment and sports content from third parties.
The Costco network, in more than 400 U.S. locations operated by the retailer, reaches about 10m customers weekly.
PRN sells in-store TV ads for three of the top five U.S. retailers, with Wal-Mart and Target on its roster as well as Costco. Other clients include Albertsons and Carrefour.
